Care Home

Jacob’s provides 24 hour care with a full time nurse, a visiting doctor and caring, understanding staff. Jacob’s is known as a family home rather than an institution and visitors are always welcome. Most of the residents were brought to the Care Home from the local Government Hospital so they can recover and convalesce after an accident or illness, possibly to return to independence or a long-lost family. Or to make Jacob’s their home.

Those who are sick, or have terminal illnesses are helped and nursed not only by Jacob’s staff, but also by the other residents. Jacob’s is working with the Global Pathways School, recently set up in Chettipalayam. The children eat their midday meal with Jacob’s residents and some of the more able residents help at the school. Working together in this way creates an important bond between the old and the younger generations.
