Pat Frost

Biography

I am married with a grown up son. I live in a village and work with my husband on our small family farm. In 2009 I had the wonderful opportunity of visiting Jacobs Home in India and saw the excellent work done there helping homeless and destitute elderly people. I am actively involved in fund raising for Jacob’s and in 2010 I overcame my fear of heights and joined a group doing a sponsored abseil from the roof of the local hospital. I hope to visit Jacob’s again one day.

Angie Carpenter

Biography

I have two married sons and live in a cottage in a lovely village. Could be retired but chose to carry on working part time. I am a keen gardener and reader, and founded the village book club a few years ago. I help with fund raising events for Jacob’s and intend to visit the project in 2012.

Jenny McCombe

Biography

Jenny has twice gone to Jacob’s at fairly short notice when Jen was unable to go – she is very much a ‘hands on’ trustee. “I first went to India as a volunteer in 1996,  and have had  to travel ever since! I retired early and have been teaching English or volunteering in India, Peru, Sri Lanka, China, Hong Kong, and Mexico and returning to my family – five grandchildren now – and reclaiming my home in Ipswich. My most rewarding trips have been volunteering in India and Jacobs. I love going to groups and talking about my book, ”Grandmother’s Footsteps”. My fee is donated to Jacob’s and I get a chance to talk about the success of the Home and the Outreach Project – invite me, why don’t you?”

Janet Hobson

Biography

Married with two sons and five grandchildren. Janet works part-time in the family business but finds plenty of time to enjoy life. She is quite creative and does patchwork and other ‘crafty’hobbies! Jan has been to India with Jen on a number of occasions and helps with fund raising events.
